Carburator jets should never be bored or reamed. If you want to enrich the cruise circuit, you should replace the jet. The chamfer or bevel on the bowl side of the jet orifice is precisely matched to the size of the jet orifice. The purpose of the chamfer is to facilitate the smooth flow of fluid fuel through the jet. Boring or reaming the jet compromises the smooth flow of fuel by altering the precise relationship between orifice and chamfer.
